Shore Tournaments

Members meet near the Memorial Union Terrace, and then disperse along the shores of the Madison Chain. Members that catch the most and biggest win bragging rights until the next event.

"Fishing for Dinner" Volunteer Program

We assist the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in their educational program "Fishing for Dinner." The program is designed to teach others how to fish and subsequently cook their catch.

Catfish and Walleye Nights

Catfish are abundant on lake Mendota, and our club meets twice a semester before sunset to catch them. Anglers may also catch bass, walleye, crappie, and various other rough fish species.

Wisconsin Fishing Expo
Alliant Energy Center- Madison, WI

The Wisconsin Fishing Expo is our largest annual fundraiser. We operate a booth to sell Wisconsin Fishing Team clothing to our fans and supporters in the Madison community. If you missed your chance to see us this year, you can visit our online store to order

Ice Fishing Trip
St. Germain Lodge- St. Germain, WI

Our club takes an annual trip over winter break to Vilas County, Wisconsin to take advantage of the excellent ice fishing in the area. We stay in group cabins for three nights at beautiful St. Germain Lodge on Big St. Germain Lake. We also take a break from fishing and tour the St. Croix Rods factory nearby. This is one of the highlights of the year, and a great way for our members to connect.
